In case of fire: keep drums, etc., cool by spraying with water.

  • INHALATION
    		• Confusion. Convulsions. Dizziness. Headache. Laboured breathing. Nausea. Vomiting. See Notes.
    		Ventilation, local exhaust, or breathing protection.
    		Fresh air, rest. Artificial respiration if indicated. Refer for medical attention. See Notes.
  • SKIN
    		• MAY BE ABSORBED! Redness. Pain.
    		Protective gloves. Protective clothing.
    		Remove contaminated clothes. Rinse and then wash skin with water and soap. Refer for medical attention.
  • EYES
    		• Redness. Blurred vision. Severe deep burns.
    		Face shield.
    		First rinse with plenty of water for several minutes (remove contact lenses if easily possible), then take to a doctor.
  • INGESTION
    		• Abdominal pain (further see Inhalation).
    		Do not eat, drink, or smoke during work. Wash hands before eating.
    		Rinse mouth. Induce vomiting (ONLY IN CONSCIOUS PERSONS!). Give plenty of water to drink. Refer for medical attention. See Notes.
    SPILLAGE DISPOSAL STORAGE PACKAGING & LABELLING
    Collect leaking liquid in sealable containers. Absorb remaining liquid in sand or inert absorbent and remove to safe place. Do NOT wash away into sewer (extra personal protection: complete protective clothing including self-contained breathing apparatus).
    		Separated from strong oxidants, strong acids, food and feedstuffs. Ventilation along the floor.
    		Do not transport with food and feedstuffs.

    PHYSICAL STATE; APPEARANCE:
     ODOURLESS, OILY, COLOURLESS LIQUID.

    PHYSICAL DANGERS:

    CHEMICAL DANGERS:
     The substance decomposes on heating or on burning producing highly toxic hydrogen cyanide (see ICSC # 0492). Reacts violently with strong oxidants.

    OCCUPATIONAL EXPOSURE LIMITS (OELs):
     TLV: 2 ppm; 8.8 mg/m3 (as TWA) (skin) (ACGIH 1994-1995).


    		ROUTES OF EXPOSURE:
     The substance can be absorbed into the body by inhalation and through the skin, and by ingestion.

    INHALATION RISK:
     A harmful contamination of the air will not or will only very slowly be reached on evaporation of this substance at 20░C.

    EFFECTS OF SHORT-TERM EXPOSURE:
     The substance irritates the eyes and the skin. Exposure could cause convulsions. Exposure may result in unconsciousness. Exposure may result in death. Medical observation is indicated.

    EFFECTS OF LONG-TERM OR REPEATED EXPOSURE:
     The substance may have effects on the blood and adrenals , resulting in anaemia and tissue lesions.
